Chablis ‘Le Bas de Chapelot’ | Eleni et Edouard Vocoret 2020

Chablis “Le Bas de Chapelot” is, hoewel op papier slechts village, zeer goed gelegen aan de voet van de akker Chapelot, die onderdeel uitmaakt van de beroemde premier cru Montée de Tonnere. De wijngaard verkeert in uitstekende conditie en is beplant met stokken van 35 en 50 jaar. The wine Advocate: ‘The 2018 Chablis Bas de Chapelot was also showing very well, revealing aromas of peaches, waxy lemon rind, smoke and oyster shell. On the palate, it’s medium to full-bodied, satiny and complete, with tangy acids and an elegantly enveloping profile. In a sense, the Chapelot strikes a happy medium between the flesh of Boucheron and the tension of Pargues. In any case, it’s a decidedly superior Chablis AOC.’
